The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters met personally to promote next month's bout.
Ex two time world title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's greatest financial successes, regularly earning huge paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually happening.
